Change of Date

We are excited to announce a change to the date of our annual Bittersweet Garden Tour! Historically held on the last Sunday in June, the tour will now take place on Sunday, June 8.

This adjustment reflects the changing climate in our Zone 6b gardens. With warmer temperatures arriving earlier, many plants are blooming and thriving well before late June. By moving the tour to an earlier date, we aim to showcase our gardens at their most vibrant and ensure a more comfortable experience for our visitors.

Mark your calendar for June 8, and join us as we celebrate the beauty of the season in our community’s stunning gardens. We look forward to seeing you there!

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is the garden tour?

The gardens are located in the Jefferson City, Missouri area. Garden addresses are printed on the tickets.

Where and when can I buy tickets?

Tickets are available online now, and that is the easiest and most convenient way to purchase. Starting in May, tickets will also be sold by Bittersweet Garden Club members and at the Jefferson City HyVee. Additionally, tickets will be available for purchase at HyVee on the day of the tour providing tickets are still available.

How does an online ticket purchase work?

When you purchase a ticket online, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with a link to download your e-ticket. You may then print the e-ticket to present at one of two locations, which will be included in your email. Upon check-in, we will exchange your e-ticket for a commemorative fan, which will serve as your admission to each of the following gardens.
